Home for the Holidays

Nathan was big enough to understand Christmas a little more this year.  Well, maybe he didn't actually understand "Christmas", but he definitely understood "presents."  We had a great time with family and friends, and Nathan can't stop talking about Grandmas and flying to grandmas on an airplane.  Every time we see an airplane outside he asks, "grandmas house?" as if all airplanes are flying to grandmas house.  Scarlett was as sweet as she could be - always smiley and happy.  We came home from traveling sick, though, and are Nathan is recovering from Bronchitis and I'm recovering from a sinus infection. Scarlett had the sniffles, but didn't need any antibiotics. We are glad to finally be feeling a little better!

Scarlett 6 months old

As content and happy as ever - this is Scarlett on Christmas.  She rolls all over the place right now and looks like she wants to crawl.  She loves to play peek-a-boo, and patty-cake, and loves to have songs sung to her.  She giggles and laughs all time time, especially at Nathan.  Nathan loves Scarlett and is always so sweet with her.  He always talks to her in this high-pitched, sweet voice, "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii baby girl. hiiiiiiiiiiiii." It's funny to hear a 2 year old talk like that. He also brings her mountains of toys to play with - in fact, it is not uncommon for me to find her practically buried under all the toys he is bringing to her.  She loves him, too, though, and always tries to watch whatever he is doing.  She smiles better for him than anyone else.

Playing in the snow

Nathan loved playing in the snow with Daddy. He still talks about building a snowman.  We were lucky to have lots of new snow when we were visiting SLC for Christmas!  I think the only reason Brig finally got Nathan to come back inside was because he was freezing!
