Big week at the Stoker home

Two MAJOR events took place at our house this last week:

1) Mia started sleeping through the night
2) Scarlett is potty trained.

We had to let Mia SCREAM for 1 1/2 hours a couple nights this week. Which is like torture. I sat on the couch and attempted to read as I listened to her agony.  But last night, for the first time ever, she slept from about 9 PM until 7:30 AM (OK, she woke up once or twice but only cried for a few minutes). It's bliss. I feel like a new person. AND, can I just say that potty training girls is SOOOOO much easier than boys?

HOORRAY!

Hooray! Anyone who's a mom knows that these milestones are huge.

I'm also a fan of cry-it-out, though I never had to listen for 1.5 hours. Glad you made it through that.

That's great! I also let my kids cry it out and it usually only takes 2-3 days before they learn to go to sleep on their own. Allison and Tim both sleep through the night although there is the occasional night wake-up! I too am happy to be sleeping more at night!

We are really going to try potty training next week with Tim. I told him his diapers were getting too small...lol!

That is awesome! I will have to see what tips you have on potty training. I really want to get started with Spencer.

Will you come potty train Micah! Mine can never figure out how to hold it. Maybe I just need to grit my teeth and do it. I'm glad you have a happy house hold, especially for restful nights!
